Zoom is hiring an experienced NOC Engineer at their Bangalore location.

Roles and responsibilities:

The ideal candidate should be able to:

  • Responsible for the monitoring and alarming of the Zoom global production environment, overnight on-call support, able to deal with potential problems and faults that have occurred in the time
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the production environment of Zoom global real-time online conference system, the high-availability target of 99.99%, continuously finding and fixing problems, and ensuring the stable operation of the business. Including but not limited to:
  • Provide timely response to all incidents, issues, and performance alerts
  • Categorize issues for escalation to appropriate technical teams
  • Recognize, identify and prioritize incidents by business requirements, organizational policies, and operational impact
  • Monitor and troubleshoot a variety of information
  • Create and track operational issues tickets and improve operational efficiency
  • Document all actions by standard company policies and procedures
  • Coordinate with field technicians during the installation and operational issue resolution
  • Notify field service owners of issues, issues, and remediation status
  • Work with internal technical and service teams to support both temporary and permanent solutions to system issues and to create and/or update knowledge base articles
  • Document troubleshooting procedures and train new technicians to work in the NOC


  • Bachelor’s degree or above from an accredited college or university in engineering, mathematics, computer science, physics, or 2+ years of related work experience
  • Ability to understand common information architecture frameworks
  • Ability to think creatively to resolve problems in ambiguous situations
  • Strong ability to diagnose server or network, system, application service alerts, events, or issues
  • Fluency experience in using Zabbix and other monitoring systems
  • Extensive experience with Linux command-line interface
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and calmly with team members and technical personnel in high-stress situations.
  • Strong self-study ability
  • Experiences with Disaster Recovery plans and related technologies
  • Excellent time management and team work skills, and ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and projects with minimal supervision
  • Experience with writing Python scripts
  • Ability to recognize anomalies from alerts-based plots
  • Network engineering and system administration experience is a plus
  • Previous NOC experience is a plus
