Unacademy is hiring for an experienced Associate Director / Director, FP&A at their Bangalore location. You will be responsible to develop, own, analyse, report the Annual Business Plan, financial budgets and periodic forecasts working with Business and analytics

The complete details of this job are as follows:

What will you be doing:

  • Establish and control the budget, drive financial discipline in the company, set up financial control processes including monthly/Quarterly Operating Plan, and ensure adherence to budgets
  • Budget revenues, Gross Margin and Profitability of different teams, highlighting variances
  • Ensuring category margin at targeted level, keeping tight control on costs and spends
  • Leading discussions on improving GM, setting targets for cost reduction, engaging with different team to improve GM by better negotiation
  • Liaise with the Marketing & Sales team on optimization
  • Analyse financial data by collecting, monitoring and creating financial models and telling the business story in a simple and engaging manner to stakeholders
  • Variance analysis of actual vs forecast
  • Analyse the trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and helping leadership team in their decision making.
  • Competitive Benchmarking and analysis
  • Lead investor reporting and front discussions in regards to financial performance.

Qualifications for this Job:

  • 8+ years of post-qualification relevant experience in large organizations / scaled start-ups with experience of managing cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of managing strategic initiatives and large-scale implementation of projects
  • Business savvy – Proficient understanding of business scenarios
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, storytelling and interpersonal skills
  • Prior experience in managing an acquisition in a large organization
  • Strong facilitation skills with senior stakeholders in driving decisions and consensus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
