Who is not eligible to file ITR-2 for FY 2021-22?

Income Tax Return Filing Due date is approaching for the FY 2021-22. The last date to file the ITR for the FY 2021-22 (AY 2022-23) is 31st July 2022. It is not necessary for everyone to file the ITR, only those Assessee who are crossing the threshold limit are required to do so.

ITR-2 cannot be filed by any individual or HUF, whose total income for the year includes income from profit and gain from business or profession, and also who has income in the nature of:

  • Interest
  • Salary
  • Bonus
  • Commission or remuneration, by whatever name called, due to, or received by him from a partnership firm.
